This interactive webinar invites Black women and femmes to explore sexual pleasure as a practice of healing, agency, and liberation. Grounded in pleasure activism, participants will reflect on embodied knowledge, communication, boundaries, and intimacy, unlearning sexual shame while envisioning pleasure as a collective praxis rooted in Black histories and futures.
This live closing session brings the month’s programming together through guided discussion and reflection. Participants will revisit themes from the prerecorded webinars, celebrate the Black-led businesses and organizations spotlighted throughout the month, and reflect on how to carry this work forward beyond February.
One in four pregnancy-capable people in the US will have an abortion. Despite abortion being common, professionals in sexual and reproductive health-related fields receive inadequate abortion education. This lecture will discuss research on the need for abortion training in higher education in the US and resources available.
This study examines how sexual identity intersects with cultural, religious, and linguistic contexts in Iranian classrooms. Through interviews with five cisgender EFL learners, findings reveal limited awareness of sexuality issues and adherence to heteronormative norms, highlighting a critical gap and suggesting ways to advance inclusive education.
Sexual identities across the queer spectrum are often presented as worrisome, painful, and something people often experience hate as a result of. Instead, presenting queer identities as celebratory can positively shift how young people see themselves and their peers now and in the future.

The session translates evidence into culturally responsive teaching strategies and referral pathways that reduce stigma, improve learning conditions, and support mental health and academic performance.
This lecture explores the significant gaps in sex education for 2SLGBTQ+ adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Drawing on a qualitative research project, and grounded in crip theory, we identify strategies to create more inclusive, affirming, and accessible sex education for disabled people.
“Desire Discrepancies” explores the challenges when partners’ levels of sexual desire don’t align. Participants will gain insight into underlying causes, learn communication tools, and discover strategies to rebuild intimacy, balance needs, and cultivate pleasure in relationships where desire feels mismatched.
