Students with IDD are often excluded from school-based sexual health education (SHE) despite the need. We identified four themes when exploring the teacher-identified barriers to implementing sexual health education for students with IDD: (1) misbeliefs and stigma; (2) parent/caregiver and administration support; (3) teacher preparedness; and (4) lack of evidence-based curricula/materials.

This interactive, immersive experience is designed to help attendees—whether individuals, couples, plurals, or sex-positive professionals—deepen their understanding of intimacy, nervous system awareness, and pleasure communication through the TOUCHY/FEELY intimacy card game.

This session offers an in-depth look at evidence-based psychological and trauma-informed approaches for pelvic pain, with practical strategies, real-world cases, and techniques to enhance pleasure and intimacy—empowering clinicians to support clients holistically and improve their sexual well-being and quality of life.
