Both sexuality education and primary sexual violence prevention should incorporate discussions of power and consent as tools for healthy and empowered sexual lives. Sexual violence resource centers are uniquely positioned to address the limitations of schools and families and provide affirming and inclusive spaces for youth to build critical skills.
