As professionals who work with people in clinical, educational, or medical, settings, we are aware that approximately 25% of our clients will have histories of child sexual abuse. We may not know – or even think we need to know – which of them is a survivor. Should we ask? Should we expect our clients, students, or patients to tell us? If they do – how do we deal with that disclosure?
