SUMMARY:Sex Ed Lecture Series Training Institute
DESCRIPTION:The Sex Ed Lecture Series Training Institute is a four-day\, practice-based experience for sexuality educators who want to strengthen core teaching skills\, build confidence\, and receive thoughtful\, constructive feedback on their facilitation. \nDesigned with early-career educators in mind\, the Institute also welcomes experienced professionals seeking a structured refresher\, dedicated practice time\, and space to reflect on their teaching alongside peers. \nAcross two full days and two half days\, participants take part in interactive workshops\, small-group practice sessions\, and guided reflection led by experienced trainers serving as faculty. The emphasis throughout is on real-world teaching: practicing core skills\, refining language\, navigating complex classroom dynamics\, and learning how to engage learners who may be hesitant or resistant. \nA limited number of participants may choose to serve as small-group facilitators\, a leadership role that includes additional practice\, responsibility\, and a discounted registration rate. \nMeals are included for all participants. Lodging options include single rooms and a limited number of discounted shared rooms; commuter registration is also available.
